First Time For Everything at Fall Series Race #2!

Eric Roos Sr.'s first Speed Merchants race win (1st in Modified) and a new Ambassador track record!
Mike Brannian's first podium finish (2nd in Modified)
Bob Scott's first podium finish (3rd in Neo)
Scott Dunlap's first victory in the Neo class
Garry Haworth running more than 10 laps on the Ambassador without coming off (1st in R/O) was definitely a first!

From the Mouths of Babes
It sure didn't bother Eric Roos Jr. any that he had no R/O or Neo car. How many 12 year old kids do??? Instead he seized the opportunity to be the *Voice of Speed Merchants*** by broadcasting, like Jim McKay on ABC's Wide World of Sports, the running heat and lap totals for the round robin main events. Hey, who says he has a face made for radio!

An Army Races On Its Stomach
A Speed Merchants track owner's obligation to ensure a successful race event normally includes repairing, cleaning and testing the track, charging the batteries, and creating pit space. But making prior lunch arrangements is what really keeps the program running smoothly and on schedule, and is always appreciated as a major convenience for all who attend a Speed Merchants event. How cool is it that Speed Merchants event hosts just happen to receive $1 per entry as a track usage service fee!
