In order to attract more, newer, younger racers we were going to have to move to a larger building. Our desire was to attract a wider variety of driving skills so we determined that our best course was to add the ever-famous "Tri-Oval" that is so popular in NASCAR racing. We have one of the biggest right down the road in Daytona Beach.

In order to accomplish this we modified our existing track layout, converting it from a road course to a very fast 105’ Tri-Oval. We also purchased a 155’ Hillclimb from Elite Raceway in Davie, Florida. Both tracks required complete resurfacing, entirely new coats of paint on the surface and sides as well as installing all new braid. We enjoyed the Grand Opening of The Raceway on April 22^nd.

We are offering expanded inventory of slot car parts to go along with our new expanded racing schedule. Due to the overwhelming popularity of NASCAR racing in our area we already have a great following for those classes of cars. We’re offering FREE TRACK TIME on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week. This has already become a very popular feature of our new store because we were lucky to find and rent space right next door to a huge Home Depot…a wonderful location! This area also has many good places to eat and we are only 10 minutes from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean surf!

We are very proud of our new, large facility and we have a lot of pit space for not only our own racers but when the FSRA visits with their racers from around the state of Florida. We crank up the AC and keep it a nice, cool 72 degrees year-round. Anyone wanting to be one of the fastest racers around these parts will have to look no further than our display cases and walls of goodies!

The Raceway has also introduced it’s first commercial product for the slot racing market – DADDYO’s TRACK CLEANER. We’ve included a flyer on this new product in the envelope with this issue. Any track owner out there, tired of smelling Coleman Fuel or Naptha, no longer has to because this new track cleaner will do the job and your nose will not be offended! To close, I would certainly like to add a "special mention" to a lot of special people. As any raceway owner knows…we would never have opened our doors were it not for all our local racers pitching in to help out!
